New entreprise by Sarah and Stephen Burchell selling their own excellent organic blackface and blackface-cross lamb and mutton direct to the public and local food retailers.

Their sheep are all born and bred on the hills overlooking the Upper Annandale valley.  Their meat, slowly grown, on clovery meadows and nerb rich hill land has a deep, rich taste.

They are at Langholm Farmers' Market on the 1st Saturday of every month and Moffat on the 2nd Saturday of every month and at Lockerbie Producers's Market on the 3rd Saturday of every month.

They also take orders direct from the public.  They will deliver if you live near Moffat or you can arrange to collect from a convenient location.  Next day courier delivery can also be arranged.

Meikle Carton near Dalbeattie produces Organic Blackface Lambs. These are processed 4-5 times a year into freezer packs containing half or  whole lambs for selected, discerning customers. Lambs are all home bred, reared with no cereals and handled with respect. Flavour, texture and juiciness are maximised under our system. Lambs can be cut to suit customer requirements and then vacuum packed. Overnight delivery by carrier using insulated boxes and ice packs has proved very successful-we have customers from Portsmouth to Aberdeen.
